The legendary Chinshurin or what is called the Pearlscale Goldfish would indeed mesmerize your eyes. Although it looks like a fish that just swallowed something like a golf ball, it is still amazing and interesting to know how it was able to survive and still managed to carry around that big golf ball around.
And most of all, the most lustrous eminence this goldfish could ever give to its owner and beholder is the pearlscale thing that is has on its belly. It seems that this goldfish has a coat made of pearls around its belly. In the Philippines this kind of goldfish is called the Bullhead because of the crown that it wears on its head.
Indeed it is so rewarding to look at this kind of goldfish. Because it seems to affirm that even though you carry something around that is just so heavy, it should not stop you. But because this type of goldfish is so diligent to survive the flaws of this world it has served unto us as a testimony that even negativity is sometimes a blessing.
Pearlscale goldfish is very delicate to take care because when its scales are rubbed over a rough surface the precious good looking scales are torn away and replace by normal colors. That is why most owners who take care of Pearlscale groom their fish. Grooming a fish doesn’t mean like grooming a dog where you cut off its hair, but grooming a fish means cleaning the surrounding that your goldfish is living in.
There are so many amazing types of Pearlscale. The colors are so amazing that it has the same characteristics of a koi carp. It comes with different combination of colors. There are Chinshurin that is all black but its crown on its head is red. And there are also Pearscale that are all white on its body but its crown is red. There is also the Black and White Pearscale that has red crown black hind but it has an amazing golden golf ball like belly.
Color combination is very significant for Chinese and Japanese culture. Color symbolizes many compelling meaning, there culture provide a broad spectrum of colors and a whole range of meanings. For example are the red, which for them signifies the means and the sacrifice. White signifies purity and clarity. Black signifies secrecy. That’s why goldfish are priceless collections for avid collectors because there skill in selective cross breeding of different types could produce the desired color combination for each devoted collectors of this kind of fishes.
Pearlscale are slow swimmers. You can’t put them with hungry time goldfish like the Red Brocade but you can control your food distribution so that your Bullhead would survive the aquarium. Chinshurin are omnivorous type of goldfish. You could feed them with vegetable food like lettuce and even chopped cucumber. These types of food are very healthy for your goldfish. Just a proper diet would bring your pearscale to a healthy life it could have.
